The great Detroit Tigers teams of the 60's had their single A team in Duluth,Minnesota where all their stars got their start. It amazes me because if anyone has ever been to Duluth where the stadium is,it's next to Lake Superior where it's cold and damp in the summer. It can be 55 degrees at the stadium and 5 miles away it can be 95.Alot of promising pitchers arms can and probably used to go bad being in that environment.
So that said,on the other extreme is Las Vegas. Why on earth does major league baseball keep an open mind to franchises moving there or giving them an expansion team? It's too hot for the fans and bad on the players. You would need an indoor park and that might not even work? The home team players would be battling health problems all the time from the heat and the elements of just Vegas in general.Does anyone ever look at the people that live there how unhealthy they look? That city just grinds and spits people out.
