    I agree Dan

I got the info in the mail that I was set for auto renewal for the NFL ticket and SuperFan. I thought the discount offer sucked so I called an canceled. I will try to get a better deal from them later on.

My account automatically gets billed each year. I think it is worth every penny. Before I got the package I would go to a bar to watch every Bear game. I would eat and drink and doing that every week you are gonna pay way more than the package.. plus you get every other single game.. Plus I don't like to watch the games with a bunch of drunk ignorant fans of all teams...

I am continuing my NFL Ticket. However, I'm pretty disappointed with the price. I called and tried to see if there was a better price for loyal customers. I was told the $250 deal was the best. Sounds like BS to me. But I can't wait for football to start, so I'll go ahead and pay the price this year.

$250 isn't bad at all, it's the $99 Superfan you must subscribe to on top of that to enjoy some of the games in HD which is excessive.

DirecTV has a monopoly over Sunday Ticket, so your best bet is finding one of those lower quality channelsurfing type of feeds, as I don't see there being any other viable option.

I hate DirectTV. Worse service of all the paid programming. Had Sunday ticket for three years, and I cancel every January.
                  Problems I've had:
Billing: Mail sent to wrong address; billed incorrectly for programming not ordered(movie channels, sports packages that were never tured on); overbilled
I Live in mild weather and every little sprinkle of rain knocks out the signal.
Installation was a pain: "We'll be there on thursday thru monday between 8-11 and 1-5, make sure someone's home to be there for installation."
No bonus packages. I've been with them for several years, and never got my free DVR, discounts, additional boxes, HD upgrades, and have basically, told me to f--k off whenever I ask about anything they can do for screwing me over, yearly.
But I love my fantasy football leagues, and my personal little pools that I run and life would not be the same if I couldn't have it.
Worse news I heard, two years ago, was that the NFL and DirectTV extended their contract to 2011. On top of that, DirectTV claims they are still not making enough profit from it.
The point is to not get DirectTV if you can live without Sunday ticket. Personally, I can't so I'm skaarreewwwwwwedddd!!!!

                      Dan,
I guess it's a personal thing but for me the NFL Sunday ticket is some of the best money I spend every year.

It's $250 for the season. That's about $14 bucks a weekend over the 17 week season. You can't hardly go to the movies for $14.00!

And I get to sit in my Laz-E-Boy recliner from 1:00 PM till 7:00 PM on Sunday and watch any NFL game I want. So, on an hourly basis, I'm paying a little over $2.00 an hour for something that I truly enjoy. Seems like a bargain to me!

                      Doc

I love the directv service and I have never had a problem with them as far as that goes. The billing department should all be fired however. I never get my bill before the bill is due, so I find myself paying over the phone a day or so before the bill actually arrives because they turn off the service. Then the amount they quote me on the phone never matches the amount that is quoted in the bill. While I'm on the subject, $350 for the entire sunday ticket should be prorated over the course of the entire year for long time customers. Now my brother in law who lives across the corn field and comes over on sunday to the man center where I consolidate the 5 tvs that I pay service for, and he wanted to get the direct for himself. Yes he is another one of my reformed menonite projects and he just got electricity. Yeah electricity, so hypothectically to fvck directv back, can I just find a dish and reciever at the swap meet for $10 and added another room to my other 5 rooms that I currently pay for, and set it up at his house, then charge him half for the service.
