Pam Ward is horrific, and I think having her in the rotation is an inside joke among ESPN execs.
But Pam Wards ineffectiveness is not to be used to sterotype other women analyst's. I like a couple that do basketball.

They think it'll be good for ratings. They think men can't resist women who are able to talk about the same sports they like. What they don't understand is men like both sports and women, but we like to keep them separate as well.
