    LT, Your thoughts on this...
You think dogs are starting to pick up now? It seems like for the past couple of weeks, they have been winning. Although I dont have specific data to support this, I have been keeping a mental note over the past few weeks and more in the past week and it seems like they are starting to win more often.Anyway..just wanted to hear your opinion on this.

i think a classic example of when to pick a dog would of been sunday when boston was +150 against nyy.

bostons pitcher had a lower whip % they should of pulled it off but didnt, all the other stats were pretty equal hell boston had a better rf,ra bullpen

dogs are the way to go but you have to pick and choose your spots, also their must value in your pick with the line so when hitting say 40% you make a profit

aao, This is handicapping pal. Proper sports handicapping wins money. Not sports trend following. The only way you will know if a dog has value is by being good at capping. You can't blind bet and will long term pal.

based on nickys post thats a just under 31% wr man you would really really have to pick and choose, and hit the proper value for it to work

im getting brain damage just seeing how one crunches these numbers

              AAO,

Actually, favorites are now 60-29 in July.

That said, I still always for dogs first, but you can't just bet them blindly. You have to cap each game individually, and if you do not like that many dogs in a day, so be it. I only have ONE dog on my card today (O's).

Nicky I don't know , are you considering slosing lines or the openers ? Didn't the Mets & Yankees open small dogs yesterday ? Or is the closing line more relevant in this case IYO ?

                  manny,

when looking at lines, you ALWAYS look at closing lines, as closing lines are indeed the most accurate. opening lines mean zilcho..

I always use Pinny closings for my stats, same lines as at covers.
