I guess some lawyer somewhere can make a pretty easy case that they didn't have just cause to be searching for a specific vehicle in a parking lot, most of which are private property. But as far as the highways and roads? That's public property, and law enforcement has every right in my opinion to make certain ALL vehicles and drivers on public roads are properly licensed.Comment -

yes its all over america now. its bs so if you dont have insurance which im not saying is right not to clearly thats what licenses are for in the first place so an officer can take your plate anytime.i do have a problem if i get pulled over WITHOUT breaking the law just driving down the streets because i am on some hotlist,or the stupid cops manualy put some kind of comment on my car in the computer,this works work warrants,restraning orders ect,ect not just plates.

i have a top of the line radar detector that works great allows me to speed whenever,also on my plates i have a clear spray i apply once a monh if you use it and take a picture with anytype of camera ,digital,polaroid it comes out with a complete blurr.works great

And before it's brought up, yes, when the system is abused, I would like to see stiffer fines/sentences handed down to the public servants that abuse their power. We have 'hate crimes' in this country -- which I don't really like, but that's another issue -- so why can't we have special circumstances for 'violation of public trust?'Comment
