lol. I got this from Beano Cook...who picked an OU vs UGA national title game. It wasn't an easy question, but you worked it out. Congrats.

I think you'll find navy /tenn to have more total games than okla/ga and they never played.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Division_I_FBS_football_win-loss_records ...... this page will show quickly how many total games ( thru 2009 - but they all played about the same in 2010)

https://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/dat...team_index.php this page will show all time opponent - click team and then on the left click opponents

            thru '09

            navy 1205
            tenn 1170
            ga 1161
            okla 1157

no points wanted - but please check this - I'd rather be right than have points

That's interesting, because both have more games between the two, but UT played a lot of games vs. non 1A schools. So in a way it could be the right answer based on games, but even though I didn't say it, what the question meant was 1A games. You are probably right here tho...

no problem - but the way the question is worded "....These two current Divsion 1A programs have played over 1,000 games each...." ...

I doubt any of the schools with over 1000 ( the leaders are in the 1100-1200+ range ) have over 1000 against div 1a schools - at least schools that are currently 1a. Way back then , i don't know if they had that designation.

hey , thanks ... you've been very generous .... that was a good question - I enjoyed finding something that wasn't a simple google search .

so what did we learn here ??? I guess it's that we shouldn't trust Beano Cook ( I didn't realize he was still around)

lol, Beano is cookoo. Cowherd still has him on his show from time to time and ESPN still lets him on their website to do chats and stuff
