My friend told me about this movie and I was able to deter the little lady from hauling me to the theatre to see this master piece. I bet you were just loving the plane flight so much that you would have gladly went skydiving without the parachute.Comment -

#8This remeinds me of a story I can only admit here in front of people I don't know:
Back in the early 90's (the exact year eludes me). I had a room mate at the time named Chris. It's the NFL playoff weekend. Two games on Sunday. I watch the early game and get ready for the late one. Dallas was playing someone. I don't remember what team. My girlfriend and Chris's girlfriend come over about 2:30. We are having fun. They both HATE Football. But they are dealing with it nicely. We invite two more of our buddies over to watch. The other three guys are all Dallas fans. I am a fish fan so it was not that big a deal for me, except for all the cash I had riding on the game! One TV in the apartment. You can all get the picture now. The first game is a blowout by like 35, so the girls want to watch a movi coming on at 3:00. FRIED GREEN TOMATOES!!!
So we start watching the movie, 4 guys and 2 girls. 4:00 comes and we are still watching. Nobody says anything!!!! The two guests aren't going to say anything, the girls certainly aren't and Chris and I get wrapped up in the movie and forget about the Dallas game. The movie ends and there are 6 adults with tears in our eyes from the ending. Then all embarassed we put the Dallas game on in the middle of the game and watch the rest and the girls go home. What a bunch of pussies we were that day. Funny shit looking back on it now. The four guys vowed NEVER to repeat that story to anyone!Comment -

#13Sex and the City. For every horror film I take my wife to, she gets to pick a chick flick. This one was especially poor. Half way through, I thought about walking down the hall to the Indiana Jones flick.Comment -

#16i haven't ever been forced to watch anything, but i'll watch something out of curiosity if i hear a lot of good things about it, even if it is supposed to be a tearjerker.
i rented The Empire Strikes Back in the mid 90's one time, and when i went to play it someone had recorded Fried Green Tomatoes on it and it had commercials and all, i didn't watch it, just was fast forwarding hoping whoever didn't record the whole thing and at least some of The Empire was still viewable.Comment -

#20My wife forced me to go to church for the first and last time in 2004. All I did the entire time was let some of the greasiest, nastiest, vomit-inducing stinkbombs known to man. I was blowing up about the first 7 pews on the left-hand side. I heard waves of groans and "shew" expressions as I barley contained myself. I smelled like a ****ing shit factory.Comment -
