What do the two of you guys do when a poster who knows what area you live in, and happens to be in the area possibly on business, wants to meet up? Biggest pain in the ass with these forums. Just wondering what the two of you guys do cause i think you two are like me and don't want to be bothered.

you are like me thorry, i've had many many people email me or post to me and say, hey nicky, i will be in your area on so and so date, lets meet up for a drink..
now i get nervous thorry. i dont know what to tell them to not insult them, so i say, oh man, thursday is no good for me, i've got choir practice, OR tuesday is not good for me, i've got to go to my nephews first communion. ALWAYS works thorry.

i just have nothing to say to someone i dont know and never met who posts. wtf you going to talk about? i have more important things to do like prepare for my night games and study lines.. not drive out 12 miles to meet some deadbeat i dont even know. thorry, dont get me wrong, i love everyone here.. everyone here is really really cool, but i really have so much to do. i dont even meet family. my brother has been inviting me for a bbq now for 8 months and i keep refusing. and he is a 4 min walk from my house. he is pissed, and says i have no family spirit. i haven't even seen my only nephew in 8 months. very sad

A Little story from 5 years ago
Sick Gambler wanted me to come up to Montreal and go to a few baseball games right behind 1st base, go to restaurants bang some hookers, ect. It was too good to be true. I was weary. Why did this guy want me there? I am very suspicious all the time and paranoid.

Russ of Majorwager had an elaborate scheme that he orchestrated on the forum and set up a scenario with 5 guys on the inside saying Guy Laflauer the great hockey player from Montreal was having diner with Russ and the 5 MW posters and he invited Sick Gambler to attend. Now there was no Guy Laflauer going to the restaurant with Russ or any of the 5 posters. It was a trap to Get Sick Gambler there and then before he got into the restaurant kill him in an alley right near building. I caught onto the scheme and saved Sick Gambler's life and told him not to go that is was a trap. That guy Rusty is nuts. He did not Like Sickler so figured he could set him up with the bait of a hockey player Sickler loved.Comment -

he popped up in my thread on therx back in March 08 when i posted my PLAY OF THE DEACADE in College hoops, exhorting me to NOT bet my entire roll on it, it was an easy winner (Penn St +8 1/2 vs Illinois in the 1st round of the big ten tournament). I listened to the man, he thanked me for a solid winner and we went about our business. Class act all the way.
