they already tried to crack down, but seriously, if they started forcing ISPs in US to block offshore sites, i would pack my bags and move to canada, would never look back,

A or B. How hard is it to move to another country? anybody know? Canada for example. Like I don't have to be a citizen, just a resident. Will they take anybody?

I live in Germany and there are foreign betting shops on every street corner where you walk on in and make your punt as easy as 1-2-3.

People lose more on scratch-offs and the lottery than they do on sports betting. ****ing regulate the ****ing industry and let us contribute to the education systems in US.

only free when a corporation can make money off it. As soon as they figure out how to monopolize it, theyll make it legal.

you're right Ohio, but you can let go of the notion that they are concerned about people losing. People only matter when they are organized and strong enough to pose a threat.

Well they already "cracked down" on it...and it didn't stop a god damn thing in my world. With the exception of Pinnacle being an option, and that was due to their own pussiniess, i didn't see other books follow that lead.

Would be nice to have neteller back again though, that was nice, but not necessary as i can recall well a time Prior to Neteller, funny thing is, its just like now!

Foreigners [Americans] may "visit" Canada for up to 6 months at a time, at which point you'd have to return to the US and then "re-enter" Canada again. There is no limit on the amount of times you may do this. Getting Canadian permanent residency is not easy, it is possible, but quite the hassle.

Living in a city close to the border makes this much easier.

You could also just move to an American city close to Canada and setup an "Alias" residence in Canada to use with offshore books.

If they really crack down hard, I'm going to try and move next door to betplom in Canada, see if the Canucks will grant me asylum as opposed to being committed to an asylum if I stay here much longer living five minutes away from the mother-in-law.

I'm probably going to end up in Canada anyways so I would move there a little sooner. Vancouver of course because I LOVE pot. BTW it seems that Canada is more american that the U.S. is with there laws. don't give me any shit either. At least they let people have their vises, I don't know how the taxes are but they seem to let people be.

Damn, no guns, huh? I feel sort of naked without my six shooter on my hip and ought-six in the side sling hanging off my saddle

Of course, if I move to Canada it would have to be as a bachelor since the wife won't go anywhere that regularly has days below 70°F, so I would have that going for me. I'd probably want to be somewhere closer to the Rockies as well, someplace up around Jasper possibly or Kamloops. Either that or Pender Island off the West Coast.

                                          Rage:

I believe many of the laws here are in response to similar American laws - especially with regard to immigration.
Canada is seen as a weak point by the US Government and often put under pressure to do something to appease the US.

There is one big difference in law here though, ony murder has a mandatory sentence, any other charge can be dealt with as a judge sees fit. Mandatory sentences (other than murder) have been ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of Canada.

Judges here are appointed not elected so they are not bound by the demands of their constituents.

Smoking pot in Vancouver in not yet legal, however the police won't pay any attention to someone smoking a joint, the worst thing would likely be told to put it out, you wouldn't be handcuffed!

Inside my house is never colder than 70°F (even in winter), same thing with my car. The cold is not that bad, really, it takes a little getting used to.

I know it's a big sacrifice for a Texan to give up his guns, good on ya WB.
