Works that way for golf too,I think.

The only two major tour golfers I know of are Mickelson and Mike Weir and they do pretty well because pin placement and such might be set to be more challenging for the righties.

In baseball as a kid I knew a few left hand hitters that were gangly like Darryl Strawberry and they had sweet swings where they would pull the ball right down the right field line.It always seemed like they could hook the damn ball right over the fence 3 feet from the foul pole. You never saw righties do that.

Then pitching it's the same story.Has there ever been ambidextrous switch pitchers and golfers and is there a rule against it?

http://forum.sbrforum.com/players-ta...ke-majors.html Greg Harris also did it a while back in the majors when he was with the Expos I believe.

Fielding: First base and right field favor lefies. The favorable angles lefties allow them to throw the ball more quickly across the diamond to second, third and home.
Actually, left-handers are preferred at first base because the base runner is on their glove side during pick off attempts. I can't really see how a left-hander is better in RF, but I'm not going to argue it. However, the fact remains that those are the only two positions, not counting pitcher, that it's favorable for lefties. That leaves at least six others that favor right-handed players (though again, I'm really not sure about the advantages of outfielders throwing with one arm or another...in fact, think of the greatest right-field arms in the past 40 years or so, and the two names that come to mind quickest were both right-handers, Roberto Clemente and Dwight Evans).
