After that blocked FG, why did they stop the play, no one touched the ball.. I thought the play goes on if the blocked FG is still in play without anyone downing on it as it never left the field.. ?

Yes, it's still a live ball since the blocked FG was still in play.. I don't understand why the refs blew the whistle to call the play dead? Is it a new rule that play is dead after blocked FG that i'm not aware of?
