That's a good question about whether Sheets/Sabathia are the best 1-2 punch in the league. They are certainly up there.

I'd say right now, Webb/Harren is really solid. Harden/ Duchscherer is very very good too. To some extant Lackey/Saunders. Some might say Dice-K/Beckett but both don't have good enough numbers to support that.

Also, when healthy, Peavy/C. Young would be a very very strong top 2 of a rotation but it doesn't look like it this year.

Just to let you guys know, when the roof is closed at Miller Park, the ball doesn't travel as well I've noticed. The MIL announcer seems to share the same belief (although neither of us have any evidence to support this belief). These 2 pitchers suck but McClung seems to pitch much better at home than on the road and Jimenez has been pitching better as of late.

McClung can't throw strikes or doesn't want to - have tickets to the game on Saturday and was hoping they would make some changes so I didn't have to see him throw again. Hopefully, they will trade for Maddux in the next few days and he can throw Saturday.
