Haven't looked at any news/injuries yet because I just opened it up but it's the 3rd preseason game so 1st teamers SHOULD play a least til late 2nd quarter and it's the Lions for crying out loud!

I think the Pats have improved greatly on the D side of the ball...of course it's preseason...if this was week one I would hammer the Pats here...

lions are no joke. very well-rounded with a lot of new and elite talent...while i think the line is a little short even for a preseason game- i think it should only be about 6 or so.

we need the twelvejewelz guy to post the preseason info in brocks qb status thread again.

Doubt Pats are going to have their starters for a long time, Pats are known to not do what teams traditionally do, while most NFL teams like to play starters for a lot of the game time in week 3 preseason, I wouldn't be surprised if Pats sit their starters early.. Bill's known to od that..

Good point. But I have watched my beloved Bucs.... and they got destroyed by the Pats so I'm sorta leaning that way for that alone. I'll look it harder in an hour or so.

Should be a fun game to watch. I don't think Brady will play next week, so expect him to force the ball to Ocho a lot early. He's still having trouble picking up the non-verbal audibles, because they are as subtle as a movement from Brady's eyes, so I think they're determined to get Ocho comfortable.

Also, we might see Fat Albert for the first time. Rumors that he'll play 10 snaps or so, but of course only Belichick knows. If Haynesfork is unleashed for the first time, the Lions wont be able to run the ball. I think the opportunistic D will be able to force an early turnover on Stafford and set Brady up with great field position.

Finally, Brady said he has to make quicker reads and get the ball to his receivers faster than he did last week. I don't expect the Lions D to be able to completely stop this offense, especially if KVB doesn't play.

I like 1Q and 1H over, with a small lean on Pats 1Q and 1H

Notice the line was for 1st qrtr and 1H.....week 3 tends to see more first team play into the second so that is what I meant....only a week left so the teams need more synching like having Brady in now in 3rd . I would put Pats vs Det for a half every time....sure it lost this time but still a decent shot I thought.

Over 7.5 is free $$. Even if Stafford goes down again, Shawn Hill is a good backup. He saved my ass last year on my over 5.5 bet on the Lions.
