thats the key....they cant hit for shit but the pitcher they are facing has a 11.57 ERA against them

SD in their last 3 scored 5.....4...and today...2

I say SD is good for 3 runs in this spot

so really you're only gambling on 1 run to be on the number IMO

and the FLA bullpen is BAD

Nobody's a lock because Pads could win 1-0. The question was specifically about the total and its a fact the Pads are too unpredictable to be in any game decribed as a lock.

Take a look at where they are playing (pitchers park). Night games at San DIego are usually very low scoring games. THe padres did rough up Norelcso in Florida.
