He has the most hits since 1997. He holds the MLB record for most post season hits. He once hit in 13 consecutive world series games.

But that was in the past. He's no longer good or clutch.

There's no way that ARod is overrated, but Jeter definitely is now. There are plenty of great defensive shortstops but he just doesn't have it at the plate any more.

I think he retires a Yankee. They have a habit of getting old players past their prime anyway. Jeter's just beginning to fit that mold.
