Nadal - Federer today. I have never sat in front of TV for 7 hours non-stop to watch tennis.
Congrats to whoever wins!

If it seems to good to be true it usually is!!

I can't remember seeing a tennis match that was as good as this one. When I was a kid I watched the longest game in football between the KC Chiefs and Miami Dolphins. That was a hell of a game as well....

One of best events ever considering what was at stake and two all time great going at it.
Fed did choke as he always does against Nadal.
I called it

Strange type of choke where you come back from 2 sets down against Nadal, who is essentially impossible to beat from that situation (check his record).

Fed had so many bad shots it was unreal, Fed rarely got easy points like Nadal.
Nadal is too strong for him.

The sad thing about the game you referer to is that it was only watched by 50 million viewers whereas this game was watched by more than 1.5 billion viewers. That's how you define greatness, not by the number of TD's scored.

tennis = world sport
college football = american sport
i think you define a great game or match by the amount of intensity, talent, drama, etc, is present in the game, not by the amount of viewers. 1.5 billion watched the Euro cup final, but it was a shitty game.
what happens on the field, court, whatever they play on, is what determines greatness in my mind, more than the # of viewers.
when mcenroe-borg played in 80 or 81, it was an incredible match but they were probably fewer than 50 million watching that day, doesn't make it any less special

I watched the Superbowl between Giants - Patriots. I had a large bet on Giants. But that game had more drama when Shaq was riding the horse at the finish line. All people talk about the superbowl is how good or bad are the commercials. There was no drama on superbowl except on one occasion when Manning converted a 3rd down by avoiding the sack and the receiver making a spectacular catch in midfield. The game was so bad it actually ended in a kneel down. Talk about exciting drama!
