Good guy Flanigan was.................He is from my hometown and was a legemd while in high school, His high school won consecutive sate championships in both basketball and baseball in 1970 and 1971. Was also a good guy, RIP

Thats ****** up. I was watching the game last night when they beat the Twins. After the game everybody from MASN sports were crying their asses off and Im like WTF happened? Then to come to find out he past. Im young 21 and wasnt here for those Oriole glory days but being a die hard fan of them I cant be happy about this news. This is sad mane I dont know what to say. he was great on the mic and shit probably the first and LAST pitcher from the Os to win a Cy Young!!! RIP pal.

Flanagan was a Legend in Baltimore, one of our most beloved players, Won a World Series, Won a Cy Young.

He was involved in everything Baltimore, and had been around professional baseball for 40 years, He was most recently one our broadcasters and he had wonderful stories and anecdotes about his time around the majors.

Growing up in Baltimore this was a guy we always respected and loved as apart of our community. The kind of player your father told you stories about since you were a child. I met the man a few times and he was always full of life, it's a shame he was suppressing so much while seeming so happy. RIP Flanny
