yeah that was a massive game t have a nice lead on, from -145 to +173, 28 cents is basically a free 7% on your money. A modest 5K lead is going to get you back about 355 or so. Obviously hard to predict this type of move, but when they happen it is a nice hit.
That is the best way to make money gambling and why betting baseball even for fun is a god mine to guys who have a knack and can get enough volume in action.
5K lead, a 3100 buy back and youre locked in for 355. If you like the -145 and think the line moves outweighs the scalp you can buy back for a percentage, play 2900 to break even if the other side wins then take 550 if Rockies win. With moves like that you have options. But normally a lead is more than 5K anyway so that opens up even more options for you.
But at 5K it is either 355 guaranteed or a gamble for 550 or break even. But when you see moves like that it is always good to take the sure thing. 10K lead on that game is 770, you get 100 of these types a year and thats 77K for zero risk. Thats an old school move right there, but not unheard of even 5 or 6 years ago.Comment -
