Racism will always be with us because when the government tells people minorities are being picked on by evil white guys,which isn't happening and then are given special rights and benefits to compensate for it,it makes the not evil or racist white guys mad.If the government wouldn't be in the business of financing programs fanning the fires of racism like affirmative action,hate crime legislation and triplicate layers of civil rights defamation-racial advocasy departments,maybe everyone would get along better.

It's not a racism thing as to why people don't want to associate with people different than them,it's a culture,class of people,morality factor and poverty thing.You can't expect the town tea toadler church lady to have women of the same race that are hookers come over for Sunday dinner every week and to pal around with.People are attracted to being with people no matter what race difference to a certain extent that are like minded.

Racism will not always be with us as it will die off with the past racist generations. The government has to take a moral stance for past injustices commited by a racist society.

Some may believe that segregation, lack of housing, lack of employement, would be considered being picked on. Even if it wasn't committed by this generation. The special rights and benefits you're referring to is to even the playing field. Affirmitive action is designed to give minorities who are just as qualified as their white counterparts and opportunity for employement, as you know this country is about who you know and not what you know!!

The issue here is "precedence". We have rights protecting woman in this country as many men in the past have abused, mistreated, and abandoned families. I was never part of this generation who commited these acts yet today I still am beholden under these laws that protect them today. So the question at hand is how does a nation protect its people from a racist society even though todays generation had nothing to do with it? Well, the answer is to create safeguard legislation so this never happens again.
