Shuttles are like $5 one way at strip

Nothing is cheap

Walking is fine as you can get around easy and get a fukkin tan

The LV transit bus doesn't run to the airport. A taxi is only $15 from airport to a hotel on the strip and probably only $10 to the MGM. Shuttle buses will run you $6-$7 each way. If you can't afford that you have no business being in Vegas. You can always try to find somone in the taxi line who is going to the MGM to split a cab.

Monorail is expensive for the few casinos it serves. You are better off walking or buying a 24 hr Deuce ticket.

if you're not drinking too much get a rental car.
parking is free and easy everywhere and for $20/day you will spend less than taking cabs

I was just trying to save money for other things Imma do there, no need to spend more money on something just cuz. I think imma try one of the shuttle bus services here http://www.vegas.com/transportation/shuttles.html or try to split a cab with someone. Imma be spending a good chunk of change goin out to clubs and gettin wasted so transportation is not something I need to spend a lot on. Thanks for everyones responses

Yeah, but the problem w your story is that the things you're talkin about saving money on amount to like $50 total throughout your trip.what's your total bydget, $400?

I'm bringing about $700 with me. Thursday we're gonna go to Rockhouse, Playboy Club, and Drai's. Friday were getting a cabana at Tao Beach and after that goin to either Tabu at MGM or possibly Lavo/Tao. Saturday night we have dinner reservations at the Aria and club amenities. Mix in a little gambling here and there if I'm still alive.

Apparently people on here have no problem paying more for things, when they can get it for cheaper.

When I was down in Cabo a few months back, We were taking hotel cabs to get downtown...12 bucks each way (1.5 miles or so)
I decided to walk out down the street and found a Bus that goes on 4 stops that takes you downtown for 1.25 both ways per person.

Did I have no business going down there because I was looking for cheaper ways to get downtown? Coronas were 1 dollar, 2 Beers and 2 Shots were 5 bucks. So imagine going downtown for a few hours each night and spending about 30 bucks in beers and shots and then taking a cab home for the same price?

Cheap or smart?

The only problem is sometimes that bus is really crowded

Gates. Yeah sure I COULD shell out the extra cash for the convenience of a taxi where I know I will get there, hell maybe even take a limo in style to my hotel.. OR I could be smart and try to minimize expenses on things that aren't necessary. I have to get to my hotel somehow, so why does it matter how I get there? I would much rather spend that money gambling, drinking, or doing whatever i want to do. Just because I am being somewhat smart with my money doesn't mean I have no business being in Vegas.

Oh I will. I also have a free buffet at MGM so I don't really have to pay for food while I'm there too so that saves a bunch. Will most likely be getting dollar beers and $3 cabo wabos most of time unless I'm at a club. Should be a fun time.
