        Halladay is not that good

Check out the 2 pitchers era's and Hallady's complete games ,along with the 2 teams ability to score runs.

Does not mean game will follow form, but it shows where the line comes from.

I would stay away from the game altogether. Both pitchers have the ability to be lights out. Both offenses have the potential to be lights out.

I took Toronto for just that reason. This has a high probability of being a very close game, and I'll take my chances with the + odds.

Halladay 9-6, 2.90 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 106 K's in 130.1 innings, including 6 complete games. Put him on a team that can score some runs, and he would be in the hunt for his second cy young.

these teams cant hit and they have 2 of the top 5 starters in the al, hence the low total

I haveToronto +116 and UNDER 6.5 +105 for more or less the reasons already stated here. Halladay is still one of the top five pitchers in all of baseball and Lackey has yet to allow more then three runs in any start this year!

Smartest play in this thread. It looks like a no play for me too.

All things considered, the Under for a total of 6.5 isn't the easiest thing to embrace. There were reasons to expect Lowe and Sanchez to combine for less than 7.5 runs yesterday and the game ended up with one of the severest Overs I've ever seen.

Actually, the fact that the game went Over has nothing to do with the original question as to WHY the total was so low. It was already explained properly that the total was right where it should have been, i.e. two aces with ERAs under 3.00 and two struggling offenses.
