How Many of You Think You Have Authentic Jerseys
I would say a good # think you have authentic sports jerseys, but you really don't.

Some really don't care, which is fine. It is the people who think they have authentic jerseys that crack me up. If you bought it on E-Bay there is a 90% chance it is not authentic. If you recently bought an "authentic" NFL jersey for under $170, it isn't real.

Just because a jersey has the #'s and letters sewn on doesn't make it authentic. Hope I didn't ruin anyones day.

Most things that say Authentic on ebay are usaually not. To me it doesnt really matter but I if you are looking for something real always buy from the ballclub, you will pay more, but it will be real.

Not me ... the jerseys I buy are bought at Official Shops. Sorry to disappoint ya.

What I ment why even bring this topic up? what are you gaining with this? trying to feel better about your $200 jerseys?

No, I don't think I'm cool. As I stated earlier some guys really don't care if they pay $50 for their Randy Moss ironed on jersey.

It is the people who think/claim they have an authentic jersey that drive me nuts.

Really, it is nuts to pay $300 for a jersey. You seem more of a pud to do so vs. buying a lower grade.

I maybe buy an authentic jersey NFL every 2-3 years. I have a Keyshon Johnson Jets jersey, Tim Couch Browns jersey, and Randy Moss Raiders jersey, all authentic, that I won't wear out in public. The only jerseys that I have that are authentic and wear are a Dan Marino jersey (Starter) that I bought in 1997 and a Boldin Arizona Cards jersey.

Slim, sorry to say any soccer jersey you have isn't authentic. They are very hard to obtain. Even if you paid $90 to $100, it isn't real.

That is it. Most people don't know. You know and that is fine. You aren't oblivious to the fact that it isn't authentic. Countless # of guys have received them from their wives, girlfriends, sluts and think they are real, but they aren't when she paid $99 in the mall.

I don't think that it is common sense. You could honestly say that the majority of people who buy "authentic" jerseys on E-Bay really don't think they are authentic?

How do they appear different, the one you buy at Foot Locker and the ones from ebay?

                                Both aren't authentic.

Foot locker doesn't sell authentic jerseys. At least NFL jerseys.

Listen, you could get an authentic NFL jersey on e-bay, but if you are paying under $150/$125 it most likely isn't authentic.

For NFL jerseys the #'s and letter are sewn on, the jersey is somewhat heavy, and there is stretchy material around the arm pit.

They do at the Mall of America and in Virginia, but whatever the ones on nfl.com the ones that are "real".

I don't have any authentics that I payed a lot of money for but they have the real brands reebok, adidas, michell and ness, I bought an Alex English all star game jersey looked real michell and ness for $9. I don't have any that i payed a lot to compare to but they are stitched on and heavy definitely, though I only have a Leftwich and Marino jersey that weren't stolen.

Anytime the jerseys say, "Replica" they're fake.

If you've seen an authentic jersey side by side with a fake, you can tell the authentic jersey - the quality is better and the embroidery tighter.

If you have any doubt as to the authenticity of your jersey, contact the manufacturer or league to find out if the place you purchased the jersey is an authorized dealer. My guess is Foot Locker is an authorized dealer.

If you're buying a jersey off Ebay, most are fake. If you buy it and it's fake, you can inform Ebay, and the seller can be booted off (if there are enough complaints) for selling fake items.

Some people care, others don't. I live in Thailand, land of fake goods. At one time I sold hundreds of jerseys - fake and authentic - until I got busted and fined for doing so.

I was arguing with "CLoo" << "CrazyL" about this exact thing... Most if not everyone thinks if it's advertised as authentic then it's authentic... I told "CLoo" that the "ProLine" helmets Riddell sells and claims are authentic is only HALF true... I don't care if NFL Shop, Riddell, or Reedbock tells you it's authentic the truth is it's probably not... That's like SBR saying bodog is an A+ book just because SBR said so.... WHO F*CKIN' CARES WHAT THEY SAY.. but some people actually take SBR's word or in this case NFL Shop's word as gold because they don't know any better....

I know what goes into an NFL Helmet on field so well that I can authentic (and have been asked to) if a helmet is "authentic"... That word is the most over used word in sports memoribillia... JERSEYS have pieces to them and I can't remember that exact number but it's more then 10... Most of the jerseys you buy in the store have 4 pieces... Pieces is the sections that are stitched together... An actual on field jersey would have something like 15 pieces if you took all the stitching out whereas a store bought would only have 4-8... NFL ones are easier to determine because they are made so that the shoulders are bigger to allow for the shoulder pads and down by the waste and around the arms is tighter so to wear a REAL ONE would fit differant then one from a store... I don't know jerseys like I know helmets but that's just two details and I imagine there is more....

                                                  Nice jerseys,nice prices.

If you want cheap and authentic jerseys, go to www.murfandpat.com The guy has been in the business forever and goes to alot of upper midwest card shows etc.He has some really affordable minor league jerseys that are game worn. Some are from the parent clubs and look just like the MLB jerseys.Personally I like the off the wall names of teams that are obscure and catchy. You can't get any more catchy and interesting than the Lansing Lugnuts.Go to a sportsbar with a Lugnuts jersey on and god knows how many single women will approach you to ask about your jersey.hehe!
