    mets
    johan vs happ on friday

Happ will be recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley for the start on Friday in Philadelphia.

Happ, 25, will be making his second major league start, both against the Mets. He gave up seven hits, including three homers, and five runs in four innings of an 8-3 loss to the Mets in Philadelphia on June 30, 2007.

Happ is 5-6 with a 3.54 ERA in 17 starts for Lehigh Valley.

mets look damn good to me. with their hot bats lately this one could get ugly fast. maybe mets FF is a better bet.

I'm big on the Phils tonight. Happ has been hot in AAA lately and the Phillies kill lefties. Santana is a little homer-prone and could have trouble in that stadium. I think it's a coin flip so good value on the Phillies as a dog. Just the way I see it...

Didn't the Mets kill Happ on Monday? 5 ER's in 4 IP? Giving him a 11.25 ERA.

The Phils kill lefties? Are you talking about the Philadelphia Phillies?

My bad. I was checking out Happ on ESPN and clicked on game log to see June 30th. I didn't notice it was 2007.

                    Sorry about that.

I'm a Phils fan and know they don't kill lefties. The Mets haven't hit their stride yet. The recent 20 games have really hurt the Phils, but the sweep hopefully got them back on track.

Really, does it matter if someone is hot in AAA? As a fan I hope the Phils win. As a gambler, I would take NYM.

I think this guy gets slapped around.

One thing though that I didn't like was something I read in the New York Post today. Reyes and Keith Hernandez "almost" came to blows on the team flight from St. Louis. Reyes confronted Hernandez about comments he made about him being a baby when he threw his glove to the ground recently.

You would think this team would be focused coming into this game.

Is he talking about the 2008 Phillies or 1980?

This must be an instant fade. Best NL home team and they hit lefties well?

If you have self control, probably a pass. If you want action I would go with either the over or Mets rl. TYPICAL SQUARE PLAY, but hey, that is what I would take. Now really is the time for the Mets to get on track. Now is their chance. But hey, look at last years meltdown.

It should be an entertaining game to watch.
