LT is thinking long term bankroll management not short term. To give you an example, I bet Texas Rangers on three consecutive nights to win ML against the Yankees. Even though I was only 2-1 I came up with 3 units profit.

Pavy is a wise man! Plus I hate turning a +150 underdog into a favorite by playing the Run Line. If anything, I would consider a small play on the alternate RL at -1.5 +400. (just giving an example, don't know what actual Alt RL was).

but Im a parlay man...Im try to be a risk/reward type of bettor

too much risk on straight up plays vs the reward

now if you are banging out +150 and +200 winners everyday in baseball then ya....you're killin em with straight plays

but who does that?

I might only risk $20 in one day with a chance to win 10 to 1 or more depending on the amt of teams and prices in a parlay

while the next guy lost $100 playing straight plays...and Im just using $20 as an example of being 1 unit

$20 could represent $100 and $100 could represent $500 depending on the next persons bankroll

now do the math on that "long term"
