Chess picks for July 4, 2008
    Leko draw -105 (2 units)
    Ivanchuk draw -117
    Mamedyarov draw -162
    Gustafsson win +178

    Leko - Nepomniatchi Draw

Simple. I see no reason why this game should be decisive. At -105, it's very cheap so I hit it twice. Nepomniatchi has drawn all his games but one, where he won decisively. This young talent has been impressive so far. Given Leko's tendency to draw, he might be cautious playing the new up and comer.

    Ivanchuk - Naiditsch Draw
Ivanchuk will play for a win, but -118 is a good enough price to bet that Naiditsch will hold him off.

    Mamedyarov - Kramnik Draw
The past couple of games these two played were drawish Petroffs. If any similar type position arises, I love my draw bet at -162. I hope Kramnik doesn't deviate, since he lost using the Petroff against Naiditsch. He will probably use the Petroff again but play a different line.

van Wely - Gustafsson [Gustafsson to win w/ black]

I will be betting against the douchebag van Wely the rest of the tournament. Gustafsson is in a tie for 1st, van Wely in last. At +178, I think my chances are okay. This would be the 1st black victory in the tournament!

Since I placed my bets yesterday, I could now scalp almost all my plays for 20pts.

Are some millionaires tailing my chess plays, or what?

Maths: where are you getting your odds? None of the bookies over here carry it.

All this chess +betting talk almost makes me curious about playing again (played international chess as a kid, haven't touched a set in 15 years).

            Update:
Gustafsson miniatures van Wely with black!!
            Ka-ching!

The other 3 games looking pretty drawish, too.

              2/2 so far!
Two games remaining.. not looking good in the Ivanchuk game, but Mamedyarov should hold Kramnik back.

Let's hope Naiditsch holds so I can go 4/4!

Last round I bet him to draw, but he played like a moron and got crushed.
He disappointed me in Aerosvit as well, playing like a douche and phucking up equal positions.

Glad I took him to lose. First time white has lost this tournament. Knew Gusty could do it.

Naiditsch couldn't hold on in the endgame. Went 3/4, but luckily didn't lay much juice on the draw bet (-117).
