The Big 12 Commissioner should resign immediately for being a dumbass...the dude didn't learn his lesson last year for a near miss of his main teams being raped by the PAC 10. Give a thumbs up to Nebraska and Colorado for seeing the writing on the wall
Texas is the reason this conference is now on the edge of extinction...They started the Longhorn Network trying to cover the entire state and pissing the Aggies off even more. The Aggies got offered more cash...and they get to stick it in UT's ass....

The Big East should immediately grab Kansas, Kansas State, and Missouri (if they will come) or Texas Tech, and form a 12 team football league, and 20 team basketball league, the likes of which no one has ever seen. Split the football up into two divisions:
West: TCU, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri/TT, Cincinnati, Louisville
East: West Va, Pitt, Syracuse, UConn, S Fla, and Rutgers

Then fill the gap in the ACC with Rutgers.
Big 12 may need to get U Houston just to save face.

I think FSU would be the better pick up for the SEC, but think Clemson has more to gain leaving the ACC. Clemson is and never will be much in the ACC and they can gain more in the SEC with their rival games with USC.

I'd like to see them give Arkansas to the Big 12. Would suck for Arkansas, but would make things more even.

Would have made so much more sense for TCU to go Big 12, but I think they saw this coming too.

Not happening.....No team is Leaving the SEC at all......
South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia will not let Clemson or Florida State into the SEC and will block it anyway they can.....Do not want even more recruiting competition.....Anyway, the SEC wants teams from new markets (states with no teams currently) for more TV coverage and revenue.......Clemson brings NOTHING to the table in this regard, as South Carolina has the state covered. Florida State helps a tiny bit with the panhandle but not much
Teams that the SEC will look to expand to possibly:
Virgina Tech
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
NC State
Missouri
West Virginia

Texas has been pulling some shady stuff, glad A&M left. Heard a report on sports radio yesterday that the Texas AD is looking for replacements to join the Big 12. Why is the Texas AD searching for replacements, shouldn't the Big 12 committee be doing this, oh I forgot... Texas is now calling all the shots in the Big 12. Oklahoma needs to leave the Big 12 as well.

its pretty obvious what is going on here. tamu is butt hurt over the longhorn network. this gave them the final realization they are not equals with texas as a school.
oklahoma only wants to win championships. the SEC does not give them the best opportunity for that because of the quality of play would decrease their chance of getting to the title game once every couple of years. they also don't want to leave UT because of the recruitment pipleline texas provides them. i heard OU will not leave OSU and the SEC wants nothing to do with OSU. they are a package deal.
UT is like a corporation. they just want to make money. having elite sports teams helps that cause, so they like to have elite sports teams. UT's brass see themselves as a brand not a school.
the pac-10 only want OU, OSU, TTU if texas comes along because they want that market.
it's sad this is all about money (other than tamu), but the players still aren't suppose to get any additional compensation. what if a couple of super conferences are form with all the major players, give the finger to the NCAA, and start giving players that addtional compensation.

The SEC is in talks with FSU, Clemson and Missouri
A&M got tired of being Texas' bitch. They won't do shit in the SEC. Rumor is the Big 12 will ask TCU, SMU, and Houston to possibly join. They would like Arkansas, ND, and BYU. Arkansas won't come because of the money, even they they'll never win in the SEC.
Texas is making more money than A&M can ever dream of, so they don't care. For those old enough to remember the SWC, adding TCU, SMU, and Houston would be like old times. The only team missing would be Arkansas.
Texas and Oklahoma aren't going anywhere.

thats why they went after A&M, more markets = more money
more recruiting power in Texas

Tex is going to be an independent by default, nobody sticking around because of the ESPN / Longhorn network. Tex calling all the shots on what will be shown and not shown. OU is pissed, because Tex has already said they will fill Friday and Saturday nights with live high school ball, flip side will be major recruiting arm twisting with high schoolers, ""Who put you on national TV as high school star.....Texas"" ""Put your name on the line son, we made you a national star and you were only in high school.""
Mike Leach would have told them to kiss his ass about that network crap. Stoops already has.
Not much left, Kan, Kan St, Iowa St, Missouri and Baylor, Okie St.
Sometimes all that money coming in, bites you in the ass.

Excuse me, I've had orange running in my veins for almost 60 years. Never said they wouldn't survive, said ""they could be an independent.""
Maybe will be better, they can pick and choose all the powerhouse teams to play each year. Will not have to play Rice or North Texas to squander away two weekends, Come right out the chute firing at Alabama, Florida, USC, LSU, Oregon, etc etc etc,
They do that, then they can tell the BCS to kiss their ass. They beat-em all.
PS, I don't think it will happen, but you could always dream.

When Texas goes independent like ND, lets see how that pans out.....bottom line is none of this would've happened if the Big 12 had split the money the same as the SEC. Tex kept pushing and pushing so the Big 12 would crumble and the Longhorns could throw thier hands in the air and say "oh well we tried and the only thing we can do is protect ourselves and become independent" and the evil plot is finished......doesn't really matter though........It wount equal championships

Houston should have been allowed to go to the Big 12 from the start. When the Big 12 took Baylor over them, it put their football program back several years. They should get their shot at being in a BCS conference.
