Why hasn't another Neteller emerged yet?
If you really think about it, are financial institutions and the government really cracking down on anything? I mean, I'm sure they've pressured companies with ties or business interests here, Neteller being the most notable example, but why hasn't some internationally based company stepped up to service us?

Maybe I'm just overestimating the benefit of a universal payment solution in today's gambling climate, post legislation.

very good point. oh how neteller days were great. so easy and so quick. no running around to pick up money at moneygram and having to leave your house and wait in line for a payout. i hate leaving my house.

it was so convenient. one click of a button and in 1 min, your money was in your sportsbook acct. and every now and then, click a button, request a check through neteller, and get charged 11 bucks, next day FEDEX...

those were the days.. when gambling offshore was a pleasure, and very easy. today, sending money offshore is a nightmare. my bank has banned me from sending money offshore because they say it's fraudulent activity and they dont want that business, wheras NETeller, was so smoooooth.. no problems ever.

Nicky, what activity were you doing at this point at your bank that they determined was offshore gambling?

brocky, 4 months ago, i went to do a bankwire at my bank to BOOKMAKER.com, and the next day, they called me in and told me the head office called them up and told them they suggest me not to do this again because they find this to be suspicious activity and manager told me i dont want to mess with head office.. she said they dont like to see this activity of sending money to an offshore acct.. so i had to stop..
and this is a bank that knows me very well.. i am a great customer of theirs, for many years.

They are structured very awfully, their listed fees are ridiculous on both sides and they are not widely available everywhere. I would rather bet an 11 team parlay for $200 than be a regular user of *************.

Actually, there are a couple of Neteller replacements that have been useful, Moneybookers and Instadebit, while not quite as good as Neteller they do work.

It's obvious that any replacement to NT will steer clear of the US market as they don't want the legal hassles that come with American law.

Moneybookers is accepted at every major sportsbook in Europe, Australia, as well as alot of offshore books listed as A+ at SBR and can be used by anyone outside the United States.
