guys did you not see Hernandez's last start in Colorado? He got rocked, and that's an understatement. Looked like he was throwing BP, after seeing that outing I'd say unless the offense carries him, they're going to lose. Furthermore the offense is facing Cole Hamels, If you are going to play I'd say small, unless you have money coming out of your arse.

Anyone can get lit up in Colorado, its not exactly a pitcher friendly park... Livan is hit or miss but I'm more focused on Hamels who should never be laying close to 3:1... at over 2.5:1 return on money, Nats have to be worth a shot I would think.

You are a moron if you don't think Hamels is an ace. I would never lay this much juice but I still think Phillies win.

Phillies at home, Hamels 10-3 with an ERA of 2.63 against Washington while Hernandez has been averaging an ERA of 8 over the last few weeks. 41-18 record with a good pitcher and bats in form versus a 24-38 road record with an out of form pitcher and one of the worst offenses in the game... Not a hard choice.

One of the Nationals best hitters, Michael Morse, got hit pretty hard by a pitch yesterday from Dempster and will be out for tonights game most likely.
Phillies -2.5 +145?
I like the Phillies on the run line and a parlay with the Brewers, The Nationals dont offer any value going up against a pitcher who has allowed 2 runs or less in 13 of 14 starts and a Phillies team that has won 12 of its last 13 games.
Look at Livan Hernandezs' last start against Colorado , 9 runs in 3 innings , and like the quote from Davey Johnson about Hernandez “He wasn’t real sharp, and when he’s not on, bad things happen,” manager Davey Johnson said.

-280 represents a 74% theoretical chance of winning.
That is massive, and practically giving the Nationals no chance of winning.

i see -290 now. is that the biggest line of the year?! ha. Livan hasnt been that terrible, and the Phils ALWAYS struggle against the Nats. No way Id lay that juice, might parlay it with some tennis... Phils are so good tho.

Hamels is arguably the best pitcher on his team. if you dont think the former WS MVP is an ace, then you either dont watch enough Phils baseball, or are a retard.

Always stay away from high moneylines like that. Anything can happen on any given day. Hamels can get injured (like what happened to Halladay vs the Cubs a few weeks ago), and you're stuck with a reliever to throw much longer than he's used to, to cover your 3 to 1 wager. Or he can simply have an off night. Or the Phillies can make a couple of errors. Better off finding closer to even money elsewhere.

I would maybe go with Washington +1.5
You haven't been following the Phillies this year if you think Hamels is not an ace.
He has arguably been their best pitcher this year, and you can make the case for him starting game 1 in a playoff series.
I would not bet against the Phils however. They are 11 - 1 since the trade for Pence.
