Free Money: Federer -220 to win in straight sets
This is a lock even if Federer loses his leg in his sleep.

He'll win in straight sets with an amputated left arm.

He could beat Ancic with his cack, like an elephant would hold a tennis racquet.

      Official MATHDOTCOM tennis locks:
      Federer 3-0 -221
      Nadal 3-0 +121

Pinnie doesn't have chess lines up, so gotta bet something else
      =)

Ancic will win a tiebreaker. Mark my words. His service is lethal.

I can see that happening, either Nadal or Fed will drop one set tomorrow, but I'm not sure that both will.

Whats the line on Ancic winning the 1st set?
If he wins 1st set, then it's definitely a straight set victory.
              So you can hedge

What I meant was, if Fed wins 1st set, he will win 2nd/3rd easily

                  exactly.

But don't count Ancic's serve out, he could win a set in a tiebreak. Other than that he doesn't have a chance.

Ancic will need to get a higher number of first serves in than he managed against Verdasco/Ferrer, cos 60% isn't good enough against Federer. When he serves lights-out stuff, up around 70%, he's near impossible to break.

Doesn't do it very often though - as a result Federer actually gets a higher first serve points won% avg, despite all those bombs Ancic is firing down. It's a bit of a contradiction in Ancic's game: despite his height and huge serve, he's not actually as potent on serve as you might suspect, not really close to the most effective servers on tour (Roddick, Karlovic, Berdych, The Sod, Ugly Stepanek etc).

geez guys, even when Roger was in top form he would always drop a set here and there. He would always fall asleep during the match and let someone take a set off of him and then wake up and destroy him after that.I wouldn't bet that.To much juice and Ancic is the last player to beat him on grass

It's not like Fed dropping a set is worrisome though, in fact I'd rather he get it out of the way now just so he has practice "coming back" one psychologically. If anything I'd rather him lose the first set so he can break more of a sweat.

ya but if someone is betting him to win 3-0 at -200 something then they don't want him losing a set haha.Wouldn't be a good bet imo

Agree, I prefer womens tennis or mens garbage circuit events for 2-3 set matches. Anything can happen in a 5 setter.

That's crappy odds for sets betting but I'm sure Roger will win in straight sets. I expect Mario to serve and volley a lot like when they played in 2002 but Roger will be ready for anything Ancic has to throw at him.

I took Federer to win 3-1 at +495. It's a longshot I know, but hey,if it hits it's well worth it and I'll win about $300.

First set went by in a flash before rain hit - Federer broke him twice, and Ancic could barely get a point on return.

                                    3-0 lead
Once he finishes off 1st set, Ancic going to collapse even more.

Your updates are slow, 1st set is already over 6-1 Fed and they played 2 games in the 2nd set, 1-1.
