He's a legendary punter. The best ever with the Raiders insginia attached to him. Al Davis : WTF man? Throw Guy some work....He's a Raider for life....it's a brotherhood.

It also tells me that Lemart is not a youngster

Tough luck. Players need to learn some money management. Its just like how the majority of people who win huge lottery jackpots are broke again after a couple of years...

Back when he was playing punters were not getting paid like that. Even today in 2011 they're not getting paid like that. So a punter going broke is not a far stretch of the imagination,

Jeez, why don't he go out and get a job? Even though the job market sucks it should not be that difficult for him to find a cushy job making 100k/yr.

Those rings are something you never sell no matter how bad it gets.

give the guy a break, he played during an era where athletes where not making much, and when you spend your teens, twenties and thirties playing football, you are suddenly 40 years old and have no skills or work experience

He probably made 50k a year. The best paid players in the early to mid 70's only made maybe 100k a year.

He was in the Kmart down the street here in Camarillo about 8-9 months ago selling photos and signing them for like 10 bucks just inside the front of the store. it was sort of sad. But yeah these old timers played when they made shit, and I dont think this new agreement helped them out any in terms of benefits they should be getting for helping to build the league.

TMZ is more of a NEWS outlet than any network can claim these days, they dont report shit unless they know it is true and have irrefutable evidence. They also dont opine on actual news stories. They report the facts and let the other trash 'news' shows bicker back and forth about what it means.
