As an aside, Asperger's is an autistic spectrum disorder. The differential diagnosis from let's say PDD and autistic disorder from Aspergers Syndrome is that there is no clinically significant delays in general language. Additionally, there are no significant cognitive or developmental delays outside of "social development".

I hestitated to include this in the post considering most parents know more than I do because they live with it but the distinction is critical in terms of treatment and prognosis.

Nice work bud. I've worked with plenty of kids with Aspergers and can attest that it can be tough...yet incredibly fulfilling and humbling. That ipod touch will be great for him. Good luck getting him to put it down at dinner time though.
