I've never played if bets, but I'm thinking of playing reverse if bets instead of 2 team parlays, the advantage being you could never lose both bets, and you could win both bets.

In fact, if I understand the concept correctly, it doesn't seem you could ever lose more than the juice. Am I missing something?

Based on a $110 If and reverse bet in Football (RISK $220 to win $400)
    $110 A if $110 B
    $110 B if $ 110 A

A wins and B loses you lose $120
B wins and A loses you lose $120
    A and B win you win $400
    A and B lose you lose $220

In bases it can be steep with high price favs since the juice is doubled if one team loses.

I knew I had to be missing something.

I had thought it was like this:

Only if A Wins do you bet B, and only if B wins do you bet A. In that scenario, you can't lose more than the juice.

But now I see it's really two separate if bets.

You really should start more threads on sports gambling.

That is, after all, the purpose of this site.

That is a straight IF bet, as opposed to a Reverse which is actually two IFs back and forth,

Yes, I realize that now. You always make both bets to start.

                  Such as this:

                  Bet A. If A wins, bet B. (1st bet)

                  Bet B. If B wins, bet A. (2nd bet)

As opposed to the way, I had thought it was:

Only if A Wins do you bet B, and only if B wins do you bet A.

Meaning in the way I had previously thought, that if neither team won, you made no bet.

If one team wins, you lose the juice.

If both teams win, you win 4 bets.

Keep posting your plays so everyone can see what an awful capper you are and why you want McCoot to ban sports gambling.
