He asked the total goals scored by each team which were 2 goals in regulation time. And if you try to argue the game had more goals than 2 it wasn't 3 because there were more goals scored in the PK's.

Winning on penalty kicks does not count as a goal.

The final score was 1-1.

Since they had to decide a winner, Mexico was given the win via penalty kicks, but the third goal was never scored.

This is how soccer works.

I would have won with 3 goals...but have to agreee, 2 is correct ruling. Generally accepted that PK don't count in wagers.

And there is no game winning goal...don't be greedy guys, he was nice enough to have this contest. PK goals don't count in a player's stats (do they?) so they shouldn't count here.
