as far as blaming bush, it is his fault!!!!!! it's not like reagan blaming carter for his recession and 10.8% unemployement, which happened 2 years in to his presidency. obama inherited this mess, the worst economical disaster since the great depression and you expect him to fix it in 2 years?

bush was losing millions of jobs a year.

banks were going bankrupt by the hundreds.

ford/gm/chrysler were losing billions a year.

iraq war spending was spiraling out of control.

americans were losing $19 trillion in personal wealth under bush.

forclosures was spiraling out of control.


under obama, we're seeing job creations (2 million in a little over a year).

ford/gm/chrysler are no longer losing billions and are profitable.

iraq war is coming to an end as most troops have left and all will be out by end of this year.

home sales on the rise.

healthcare for 50 million uninsured americans, which will also reduce deficit $145 billion.

stock markets up nearly 70% since march 2009.

I suppose the addled Mr. McCain would've been preferable. Not even the Tea Party likes him, and they'll buy anybody who knows how to mangle a sound bite. Thanks to the the record deficit he inherited, not to mention the very expensive war, Obama started off with one foot in cement. We're lucky to be where we are, even. At least as long as we have him we can keep Social Security, and Medicare, and there's a fair chance that all Americans, not just we of the middle class, will have to pay their fair share to run the country. I've never understood why honest working-class Americans, who have to struggle to make ends meet and send their much-too-large broods of little brats to school, think it's fine that billionaires get off without paying their rightful tax. We've heard for decades how tax breaks will create jobs -- well, look around. It hasn't worked yet. These working-class heroes are the same people, in a socioeconomic bracket that includes me and most of my relatives, who will be in very big trouble if the TP idiots succeed in gutting Social Security or Medicare. I have no patience with people born without the compassion gene, people who forget the basic American principle that government exists for *all* the people, not just for the most fortunate.
