My problem with emily is she comes into every financial thread calling people stupid for playing the stock market. Right now is the best time to make money. Do you think that just because the market collapsed 1,000 points that money just dissapeared? It just was a transfer of wealth. Just because you are unable to do something dosent mean others cant. You may be a very rich retired successful person but that dosent mean you can call people stupid because you cant do it.

u cant put it in a more secure fund until you ride out this storm? Through my emplyoer plan they have 2 stable security Money market funds and a secured growth type account. Both of them lsot a bit the last 2 days but not far as much as some people are experiencing( like 2% vs the norm of 6-10% right now)

Lost a little over 4,000 today. The beauty of options is once it starts to move against you, you can get out pretty fast with a volatile market and so much volume.

Im no stock guru, Monday was just the opportunity that occurs every 4-5 years or so. I will probably be getting in cheap with some long term investments depending on how stocks are looking in around 3 weeks or so. Right now im going to sit back for a few days.

Very true i just did it to protect my balance for the next month or so. Potentially losing growth for 1 month can be costly over a 30 year maturation period but i think it was well worth it vs the risk of losing 8-12% in a few days. Good luck. At least your smart and you'll ride it through and not go and yank it all out like a impulse buy.
