Anybody getting cruising-joy riding withdrawals from not being able to drive much=gas
I was looking at a photo of the 4th of July parade in my town exactly 10 years ago and you could see the price of 86.9 for regular on the gas station sign.It litterally made me feel sick!

At the drop of a hat I would drive 400-500-600 miles and sometimes allot further if I had the time off just to go and see stuff outside the area for the fun of it.I had a huge range as far as thinking anywhere is worth driving to.I was hooked on seeing the country.

Now my range is a radius of about 60 miles from home. The super Wal Mart is 25 miles from me and my cabin is 35 miles away and those are about the only places I drive to for fun.

It sounds like the shit is really hitting the fan today as far as oil and financials are concerned. Now it's Iran on the horizon.

So,is anyone else here having cruising-joy riding withdrawals where you feel physically sick from not being able to have freedom traveling wherever you want?It makes becoming a truck driver feel like it's the thing to do.Years ago I went on a few over the road long distance runs with a friend that drove truck and I could see that occupation sucked.Just way too much drama and pitfalls in that job and you either drove by interesting and fun places and couldn't stop or if you were close to places like Vegas you were stranded out on the interstate listening to Hillbilly truckers talking about their rigs all night long.
