I thought it was awesome. Dedicated it basically to his brother and grandmother. Lots of great stories.
For a guy who knows he's good he sure was humble, on a day it's probably hard to be.

I appreciate him being honest, but some of the things he threw in there.....

I honestly think it will go down as one of the great speeches. I wasn't bored for even a second. Almost wanted him to keep going.
Heard Primetime is gonna have Snoop Dogg do some kind of song or something.

Cougar, you are 100% correct. (See my other post).
Anyone who gives a "thumbs down" to the Shannon Sharpe speech just doesn't get it. Humble and brutally honest. Not everyone is born into a Mansion, boys.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

I don't think there was any exaggeration at all. Well-known that the Sharpes grew up in poverty.
WTF? Do you think he was just making it up?

Love Shannon, he knows his place. Honestly saying that he's the 2nd best NFL player in his family next to Sterling Sharpe. Sterling would had been the top 3 best receiver to ever play this game if his career wasn't shortening by injury. Next Moss and Rice.

One of the all time greatest speeches. It helps if people listen instead of criticizing. Sharpe told his life story and it was touching. He was the best big game tight end of the last 30 years. I will never forget his huge 90 + yard td in the black hole. It is the stuff of legends.

You're 100% right. Most great speeches have the line..."I neglected my kids." in it.

It takes courage to be honest. He explained it all. He did not want his kids to suffer like he did. Did you listen the speech? Or are you just hating? The guy said it like it happened. His kids will now be financially set for life because "he neglected them". I love this site.
