I just need them to lose AGAIN on Monday. I have family that flew from NYS to San Fran on Wed. to check out some games. My brother in law is a Giants fan from the NYGiants days and deserves to see a winning game. I wrote this in another thread, I will write it again, fukk the Bucs. Especially if they somehow beat Vogelsong Monday.

They've been done for about a week now. Eh. Kind of sad.

Looks like they've gone downhill since that 19 inning debacle.

Yeb, pretty much predicted this at the all star break. Didn't fear them for one second as a Brewers fan.

they were way overdue for a correction, their pitching was carrying them and they had given up more runs than they had scored even, that's never a recipe for championship success (unless you're the giants, but they actually have the 2nd best staff in all of baseball and there run differential is almost even (it's actually even if you don't account for errors and only count earned runs) pirates pitching talent just can't hold up to the giants talent
look at the other teams that have negative run differentials...nats, pads, mariners, they're all way below .500 ball, i was happy for pittsburgh, but maybe they'll get there next year. i do like them getting derek lee back to the NL, that was a nice move, should be a good veteran presence for them. maybe alvarez will finally hit like he's supposed to next year and tabata will make more strides forward as well, then they might make the playoffs

I don't know about tomorrow. Mat Latos gets wins on the road and if Luebke could get run support, so can Latos.
Putting 40% of my bankroll on the Padres tomorrow.
I'm no big baller, so I'm just going 40%

The real story starts now in that they can concentrate on trying to break the curse of finishing below .500 for nearly two decades. If they can finish at that mark, then they might actually have a building point for the future .... otherwise, fun while it lasted.

Definitely done, they don't have the pitching and are too inconsistent.

ExtraInnings, I think your record you predicted has come to a close bro.
Pirates are done!
They won't win a game against the hot Brew Crew.
