Canada is the greatest nation in the world. Asides from weather, everything is awesome here. Also real estate is quite expensive, and the taxes are pretty high, gas prices are also raped up. Basic foods are also over priced, well i guess it aint all that great...

we do have free health care, very low crime rates, very cheap education (university). Public transit is also pretty good. Over all a very healthy nation. Low unemployment and great people all around aside from the Vancouver area.

We would strike deals with either of those countries to defend us from the other. Canada is a very attractive country to be a partner with due to a multitude of reasons. Furthermore, we would bolster our national defense if we were threatened but we're not and we don't start wars overseas so our military is quite fine for our needs.
