Why not? ESPN employs Chad Millman. ESPN scrolls the lines on NFL on Sunday mornings. Placing bets on BoDog or any other offshore book isn't what is illegal.

I wish there were some more high profile advocates of offshore gambling. It might loosen things up a little in the US.
