    Taken from article at FIVB:

Japan's key players Takahiro Yamamoto, Yusuke Ishijima, and Yu Koshikawa, all of whom played at the recent World Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Tokyo, are expected to make an appearance this weekend in Japan's first home matches of this year's World League.

Here are their comments from Friday's press conference:

Tatsuya Ueta (Japan): The Olympic Qualification Tournament finished just two weeks ago, and I went to the away games in China and Egypt with younger players. But for these matches I will use the players from the OQT. We gathered three days ago and we want to play in a way that will be beneficial for the Olympic Games. We also want to be in our best condition in the game tomorrow. The young players, Shimizu and Fukuzawa, have played very well in China and Egypt, so the overall level of the team has gone up.

Raul Lozano (Poland): The World League this year is only preparation for the Olympics. Like all the teams we are trying to find moments to practice and moments to give some rest to the players with physical problems. Those in the best form at this moment are the ones playing. I think the game Poland against Japan is a classic game in the history of world volleyball. Every time it is good to be back in Japan because we have very good memories and we are expecting two good games from both teams because they are both at a high level in world volleyball.

(On the improvements Poland have made since losing the 2006 World Championship final to Brazil in Japan): Of course we have made some progress in our play รข€“ but we would like to show that at the Olympic Games, not now. We want to show that at the most important tournament of the year. Normally, for any team around the world, progress is not like a line going up. It is more like a wave that keeps changing, sometimes higher and sometimes lower. The most important thing is that we can see this progress at the Olympic Games.
