If the White Sox had an outfield, they'd have a real shot at the playoffs.

yeah, Rich Boy, Wells and Rios were two of the worst outfield contracts in recent history. Amazing that they were able to get rid of them. As I recall, Rios was placed on waivers and the White Sox claimed him.

What a bum. He's only good until he gets paid, so many other lazy athletes.

at the time, there was a belief the WSox took a shot to keep the other teams in the division from picking up Rios

they made the bid and ended up getting hung with it

He really has turned into a worthless slug this season. The worst part is, he doesn't give a shit out in the field anymore either. He won't change that for shit batting style he has. Just like the other overpaid veterans, he is not open to any coaching.

He hasn't hit since before the big contract but his play in centerfield is an embarrassment to baseball.

Rios actually had a great year last year. Unfortunately, Ozzie's dumbass must think he deserves a lifetime pass for it and he keeps trotting him out there day after day. Hard to fathom a more useless everyday starter in baseball this season. De Aza with a 4-4 night tonight and yet Rios will be the one in CF next game and he'll once again contribute nothing.

                    Dude is so bad.

He's making $12 million a season (signed for three more seasons after this one) and he has about a .285 OBP in 289 games with the White Sox.

One of the worst outfielders in baseball.

Good luck finding a centerfielder who plays the position as poorly as he does.

Don't forget about Adam Dunn. He's hitting something like .160 with crapload of strikeouts. We actually cheer when he makes an out without striking out.

Way too many overpaid, underachieving athletes these days

Guys need to have performance based contracts and max 2-3 year deals.

None of this 10 year 180 million dollar BS contracts you see nowadays.

NHL is becoming a joke in terms of these contracts. Guys are signed well into their 40's, we all know they arent going to play at that age. Its a fkn joke.
