Bats have a higher percentage of rabies than any other wildlife I believe
Bats in a bedroom are dangerous because you do not know if it bit you
If a bat bites you and you do not have bat to test for rabies you need to get the series of 3 rabies shots
Many find bats and do not think they got bit and still get the shots because they did not catch bat
Ask a dr on protocol

Bats carry all kinds of nasty sh!t, dirty animals. I would get a ladder and go check on the roof for some ventilation pipes coming out where the screen is missing or broken to see if thats how they got in.

Or, you could teach your son how to train it, you know, with the gloves and all and he could land on his arm and get fed little bat treats. In my younger day I saw this guy at the zoo who had a trained parrot that would match up numbers on a table with numbers on wooden blocks, and also would match different shapes and colors. If you can train your son to do this with a bat, it could become a profitable living, and would be ideal since they are hanging out in the house anyways. If they are coming in the house, you may as well find a way to make a dollar off them.

2 weeks ago my gf and I went up to Sequoia Nat Forrest and were hiking on some back trails. We came up to this big ass hollow tree(the trees there are the biggest in the world). Well apparently this tree was used as a house back in the day, about 10 feet long with a hand made stove in the back. Well, i walked in to check it out....it was pretty cool. On the way out, i happened to notice something....well it was a bat. It scared the living shiiiittt outta me and i screamed like a bitch

. The old lady didn't want to go inside because she was scared. She thought something happened to me when i yelled out loud. Anyways, the little bat didnt even wake up or anything, just kept sleeping the entire time.

Now that I have had time to reflect on this... My 2nd option would have been to try and suck it up with my shop vac, then take the shop vac outside and open the lid and run away and watch from a distance until I saw it fly out. It would have stayed in there all night though, with the door closed, considering this solution finally came to me today. I also would have made sure I was wearing my lacrosse helmet and a ton of thick gear, boots and gloves to ensure the bat didn't have a chance to make direct contact with my skin.

My first option would have been to call my neighbor over knowing full well he would just grab the thing bare handed and throw it out the window before I even had to try and do any of the above.
