Philly is going all in for a title. I think they hold on to Samuel to better match up with the pass happy teams they will have to beat in January. In the meantime they have a great rotation.

I have not read any other opinions - I shall say this. For a player of Willis' ability vs that of Samuel, the 9rs are probably the dumbest team in the NFL. Willis is a top 3 LB OVERALL, and I'm being VERY conservative. He, IMO, is the BEST LB in the NFL right now. Samuel? He's a nice playmaking player that needs a shell (i.e. safety over the top in the coveage he is rolling) to make picks. Compare him to Willis? You have a franchise player vs the best role player in the NFL. You'd be mental to trade Willis... Let alone think about it. I'm also calling BS on the 'rumor'. No source? C'mon, big boy.

Patrick Willis won't be traded for a long time. He is the best player that the 49ers have for now in the team period. Now if he was rumored to be traded to Patriots for Brady or Colts for Manning then they might have been some substance to it. For a washed up A.S. don't see that happening.
