Maumee is the correct spelling.. It's a suburb of Toledo and I am not sure if that plant still exists or not... It's funny you mention Raceway Park... I have only been there once but a lot of people do go and bet on races...
The economy here is NO WHERE NEAR as bad as Detroits...
We are having housing issues and of course layoffs in manufacturing but nothing more then the national average... We do have "Key", "Hunnington", "FIFTH THIRD", and a couple other banks that don't look like they are going to make it... Their stock has fallin' off a cliff in the last year...
I think Toledo is ok actually...but FOR NOW... We have more bars and resturaunts per capita then most other cities in the U.S. and I am guessing in due time they will be hit little by little as "COMMERCIAL" property starts falling here shortly...
