i feel team illuminate is them this year. Piers said during audition it was best he has ever seen, but I think Fighting Gravity was more original and they are younger.

With them performing last week during results, they should def. get the connection this week.

+1. I actually do know someone else who is "pumped" about tonight and its my dad. Hes hooked on these stupid contest shows and I bust his balls about how corny he is constantly. I think I need to point out my dad is going on 65 though and cares less how corny he is.

I kind of wish they didn't allow singers at all (which admittedly would be unfair); there are several other shows for that purpose, and it seems like inevitably there is a huge percentage of singers that make it far every year, taking places away for amazing acts that have no other major outlet.

Fighting Gravity is extremely unique and creative. Team illuminate isn't quite as cool, IMO, but I do like them and hope they win it.

I agree with the singer part, b/c every year it seems a sob story country singer wins. But at same time, for these young singers, and older singers American idol is for a certain age group, so they have to go on a show like AGT to be able to participate
