    NO

98% of people that bet sports lose, the 2% that win bet both sides to a game whether middling or scalping, no one bets one sides and wins where he does no have to work.

I gather would be very difficult. I heard somewhere something like only 1% of people can sucessfully gamble for a living.

It doesn't seem like such a great way to make a living in my opinion. Probably a high level of stress, lots of ups and downs. No guarantee that you will be able to pay your rent / mortgage some months, sh1t that like......

You're funny, JJ. Always good to know we can count on the comic relief.

Provided you're playing with A-level books and you remembered to read the withdrawl terms in advance, getting paid won't be the issue.

And of course, JBC77 is right, swings are huge, stress is high, bankroll needs to be big, you will hate sports, yada yada yada.

The bankroll is the key, which most people do not carry to make a solid living off of just sports gambling. Technically, part of my living comes fomr sports gambling based on my wagering and my handicaping website. However, even I have other major sources of income that fuel the additional funds I create via sports gambling.

Now, If I had several million to play with - That would chnage things.......Have a good one.
            Good Luck!

Assuming you can find +EV bets you can grow a decent sized bankroll from almost nothing pretty quickly (with bonuses you can do it even faster).

Real professionals are not sweating each game, they probably aren't watching many games, and they certainly are not depending on a good month to pay their rent/mortgage/bills etc.

To answer the question, yes there are people doing it.

I don't know about the pick part, but yes people make a living betting these sports though smaller markets are much easier to beat.

Guys not sure if you saw my post on the Vegas living. I reeally think I have found something. The key is not only bankroll but MONEY MANAGEMENT. That was always my demon. I would get so fired up on a game and think it is a sure winner andd bet the house and get drilled. Then find myself losing all the ground I made because of one stupid bet - REAL DUMB. You learn the hard way and that is what I did. With a $10000 bankroll - being very very conservative on this number - can make $2400 a month booking. Usually the past 6 months I averaged around $4200. Heck two books put a cap on me. I am not trying to tout but it can be done. Maybe I am the lucky 1% that found something - don't know but let's just say the stress and strain that I went through to get to this point was Excruciating!! Nothing comes for free!!

Durito you are a smart guy. You are absolutely right if you are a professional you will know how to manage your money and you will never have to worry about the bets from one day to the next. You don't!!! Not everyday will be a winner but all that counts is by the end of the month you are in the black. Which happens if you are patient and stick by the program. If you bet crazy and do what I didd in the past your will be on the streets and a stressed out fool!

I know Beatthejerk. I am going out there with $100k that would be $24k a month. Also, my plan is to start an investment company doing sports gambling. Most gamblers that I meet have no patience, ruled by their emotions and cannot manage their money because they are ruled by their emotions. I want to get investors and manage their money pay them about 20% interest on theirr money and the rest I pocket. We are all happy and it is a win win. With investors we could bump that 100k to $1 mil and so on. That changes the whole structure. JJgold will I go broke the odds are defintely against me of making it but I am not losing focus on the prize.

You can have a good 3 weeks in hitting everything, and all it takes is one bad week for you to lose it all back. Been down that road many times.
