The D-lines ability to collapse the pocket and get to the QB is what most of us purists are watching for... doesn't matter how many open recievers there are if the QB doesn't have time to go through his reads and toss the ball.

I totally agree, most people are sleeping on the Bears and when pressed, they belch out "Cutler". Thing is, Cutler is the best QB the Bears have had in half a century, he simply had no help on that offense last year with his #1 WR being a repositioned DB. He's got some real weapons this year, everyone's got a new year under Martz, I don't know why anyone would bet against this team that went to the NFC championship game last year and took the Packers to the wire with a no name backup QB after Cutler blew out his knee. Nevermind that the Bears D and special teams should be as good as ever.

to respect Cutler is stupidity as he is at the very bottom. lions/bears rivalry is one of the toughest out there and these games will be close this year and most likely a split or lions 2-0. No way Bears take both!

My thing is the margin of improvement that the Lions had last year which was drastic. Half of it this year puts them over the top.

The NFC Norris is going to be pretty tight this year, I can see all 4 teams in the 7-9/9-7 range. I think the Lions are likely 8 wins and likely better than that. Pending team health, they can stay in the hunt for the division, although their running attack is a big mystery at this point. It's too early in preseason to get a real read on what they are capable of.

Lions will get 10 wins IF they can stay healthy...they've already had some big injuries and if a few key people get hurt they will go downhill fast...thin at a few positions but the people we have there are solid.
