this line - 160 is a goddamn steal. I would tell you there's probably an 85% chance that CC wins tonight, with all things being considered

yankees offense is red hot right now, I expect them to get 3-4 runs off peavy and then get 2-3 more off the white sox relievers. Sabathia should dominate, as he always does vs CHW

      Yankees easy winner here 6-1

if this is the way you feel dont you think nyy tt ov 4.5 is a more viable option without paying the high juice?

no Paul Konerko? oh jesus, this game won't even be worth watching. The only consistent hitter on the WSox besies Paulie is Carlos Quentin...

dude, nothing personal as im pretty much on your side here that either play nyy in some form in this gm or pass, that said no disrestpect but telling someone how to win gambling then saying nyy has a 85% chance of winning this baseball game are way the hell off. 85% chance of a single baseball gm going the way you think it will? if that was true the odds would be no where near the current level.

99 out of 100 of my plays are backed up with mind numbing statistics I crunch with assorted databases every day.
You never played a hunch before?
You never bet on a horse that took a dump before a race before?

You'd be hard pressed to find somebody that does more homework than me on a daily basis, I'm saying I can't put my finger on it, but something tells me CC goes down tonight.

My 'roll says I can play a hunch tonight, my 'roll says I can't retire tomorrow, but my 'roll does say I'm doing OK with the bases.

                        g/l to you Bull.
Hope your have a profitable night yourself.

Cc is 9 - 1 in us cellular field

What percentage is that??? What makes u think its gonna be different this time with a red hot offense facing a strugglin offense starting an injured struggling starter??

i know exactly what cc numbers are at us cellular as if you read i mentioned that at some point in another post. unfortuantly past results do not nessicarly dictate future performance and if there was a 85% chance of nyy winning then the line would be what? a lot damn higher than it is, books dont stay in business by offering 85% winners at -160 imho....like ive already said i wouldnt play chisox and think their chances of winning are less than the openinng line suggested but 85% is absurd.

you said early they scored 4 off Peavy then another 2-3 off the pen, now they only good for 4? seems like their 85% chance of winning just dropped significantly.

For those bashing Peavy, you're right, he does look like a shell of his former self. But one thing to consider is pitches 1-75 opponents are batting .221 against him. Pitches 76+ they are hitting .481. He has an era of nearly 12 in the 6th inning. I bring this up because after Peavy imploded in the 6th inning last start and lost the lead the Sox had gotten against Verlander, this became a big story here in Chicago. Ozzie and Cooper are aware of these numbers, the media is aware, and now all the fans are aware. I know Ozzie will manage whatever way he wants and likely won't let the media and fans manage his games for him but with everyone knowing these numbers and Peavy himself admitting his stamina is not there after coming off a serious injury, I believe there's a good chance of Peavy getting pulled after 5 today even if he's pitching well and has a low pitch count. If this happens this should give Peavy a better shot at having a solid start and he's backed by what has been a very good bullpen for some time now.
