Does Draftstreet just do daily and weekly contests?
That would be hard to imagine them not offering season long head to head NFL fantasy leagues but it seems that's the vibe I'm getting when I visit their site. I looked for NFL leagues to join and it said they would be up when the season started. I'm looking to replace CBS which runs a great league but their rake is ridiculous.

    Draftstreet, say it's not so!

We do just offer daily/weekly leagues, that's our differentiation from the CBS/ESPN/Yahoo leagues out there.

If you start doing weekly NFL leagues you will forget about your season long league pretty quickly...

Why waste your time with a season long league when you can be making money every day you feel like jumping in? Have not missed a day since joining, love the daily fantasy. Still have not been able to find consistency but have won one league and placed in another. Trying a bunch of different strategies. Hope to start winning more regularly here by football season.

I want to do both. I mean why wouldn't you guys even offer it? I'm sure your thinking is that you want guys joining more leagues more often so you can make more cash which is the name of the game, I get it. But I will tell you this. You are alienating an entire group, a huge group, of FFL players by not offering this. For every guy you get to join weekly leagues, you'll have 20 that will come to your site and never go back because you don't offer this.

Someone like me would do both. Check this out. CBS offers a double diamond league for $499 per person. There are 12 teams ($6000 to CBS) and they pay out only $3500! So what I am saying is that even if you guys took a 20% cut on the season long leagues, you'd have people joining in a heart beat like me.

I've owned several businesses and graduated from one of the best business colleges in the country, which still means I could be a lousy businessman but at least you know I'm not a 20 something kid who works as a shelf stocker. I am telling you that if you can do it, I think you'd be nuts not to offer it. Rather than try to convince the majority like me that weekly and daily games are better, you should offer the season long leagues and then we could explore that for ourselves by visiting the site on a regular basis. In other words, if it is really as good as you say it is, season long league players will try it and they will continue to join those leagues. Otherwise, if you don't offer it, they will go elsewhere and you will lose them for good because you'll never get them to begin with.

I hear what you're saying Johnson but the effort to code up yearly leagues, and then market it enough to compete with these huge multi-billion dollar companies for users - many of which are satisfied with their yearly league provider - is just not worth the money when our entire site is predicated on not being yearly leagues. Think of it like rental cars - they could lease cars but they are going after a different niche. We aren't trying to alienate users, we're trying to show them a different way to play, and we're investing money in marketing and product to get there.

I appreciate that you prefer our interface to CBS' and would like to do your yearly league on our site but that's just not our business.
